The town hall, or 'ayuntamiento' as it is known in Spain, is the first port of call for all information relating to a particular locality. It is here that property owners register as a member of the community and obtain their certificate of empadronamiento. The town hall buiding is normally centrally located and can provide details on a range of services, for example, education (including adult education), sports and fiestas.
