Aeropuerto
de Málaga, the fourth busiest
airport in Spain, services the whole of the Costa del Sol and the Costa
Tropical. It is located 8 km west of the City of Málaga and approximately a one
and a half hour drive from the Costa Tropical.

During 2006, 13,076,252
passengers passed through Málaga Airport, a small increase of 3% on the figures
recorded for 2005 (12,669,019). Currently the airport is undergoing a major
expansion project to cope with the high volume of passengers passing through
each year.
Facilities: On site parking
with 2736 spaces, although parking facilities are occasionally disrupted by the
ongoing building works, regular bus service into the city, taxis, petrol
stations close by. There are many car hire companies based at the airport vying
for your business, making pricing very competitive.
Terminal Facilities: There are
two terminals at Málaga Airport, each housing several cafeterias with ample
seating, a variety of gift and duty free shops, drinks vending machines; a cash
dispensing machine (ATM) can be found in Terminal 2.
Notes: There are long stay,
off site Airport Parking facilities, with shuttle buses regularly running to
and from the Airport Terminals. There is no left luggage facility.
