Federico García Lorca Airport, in Granada, primarily services the Province of Granada, the Province of Jaén and the Costa Tropical. It is conveniently located 16 km west of the City of Granada, approximately 100km from Jaén and approximately 80 km from the Costa Tropical. There is a regular bus transfer service from Granada-Jaén Airport to the province of Jaén, more details of which can be found here.

During 2006, 1,086,236 passengers passed through Granada Airport, an increase of nearly 20% on the figures recorded for 2005(875,827), and 45% for 2004 (590,931).

Facilities: On site parking with 450 spaces, off site parking run by private companies, petrol stations, regular bus service into the city, taxis. There are 5 car hire companies with offices in the arrivals hall, namely:

Terminal Facilities: Large cafeteria with ample seating, gift shop, drinks vending machines, cash dispensing machines (ATMs).

Notes: Once past the security checkpoint, there is only one small kiosk selling cold drinks and snacks. There is no left luggage facility. Cigarettes are not sold at Granada Airport.
