Monarch Airlines in Talks
monarch-tailFurther to Monarch Airline's decision to stop flights from London Gatwick into Granada, the leader of Granada’s provincial government, Antonio Martínez Caler, has called for the airline to reconsider its position. The province’s president has engaged in discussions with Monarch representatives in a bid to have the flights reinstated, as the Tourist Board of the Province of Granada are deeply concerned about the impact on their local tourism industry.

Monarch Pulls Out Of Granada

As recently reported, Monarch Airlines will no longer be offering flights into Granada Airport. The termination of this route takes effect from 4th November 2007 and leaves Ryanair in sole control of flights to and from the UK, via Federico García Lorca Airport in Granada.
