Newspapers & Magazines in Spain |
Reading or watching the news in Spain is an integral part of Spanish life. Go into any bar and you will find plenty of well thumbed Spanish newspapers. Spanish tobacconists (estancos) and newsagents sell a wide range of weekly and monthly magazines, the most popular of which are listed below. Many of the newspapers, such as El Mundo, El Pais, ABC and Ideal, to name a few, have embraced technology and have their own websites, which are regularly updated with current affairs in Spain. For news and events around The Costa Tropical, written in English, there are a number of free publications, namely The Seaside Gazette, Streetwise, The Olive Press, and Spanish Insight. All of these, along with other smaller publications, can be picked up from either the Tourist Information Office or various other points throughout The Costa Tropical, such as supermarkets and estate agents.
