About Us

Whether you're building from new, or renovating an existing property, Granada Property Matters have the solution. We'll manage the whole build process - right through from design to the final sign-off, using our dedicated building teams, and in-house project managers. Many of our clients are based outside Spain, and we take special care to ensure that all the worries that can be associated with building in a foreign country are removed.

We specialise in blending traditional regional architecture with modern high quality finishes. Whether you're building a holiday getaway, or a permanent residence we will provide you with a building that respects its Andalucian heritage while offering the practicalities of a modern house.

Based in Chite in the Lecrin Valley, we take on construction projects anywhere in the N-323 corridor, from Granada, and its outyling suburbs, right down to the coast - as far west as Almunecar. We do also take on non-construction work in a wider area - for example, if you just require a project manager for a build, or a Spanish-speaking representative to deal with local authorities or architects. Design

We engage architects and designers to take your requirements and turn them into a working design. You can have as much input into the design as you feel comfortable with, but you always have the final say. Once the design is complete, we get the plans approved and the necessary local permits arranged.

Build

We use our own in-house teams of builders and craftsmen. This gives us tight control over the build costs and quality - resulting in a high quality build at a fraction of the cost of some competitors. You can visit the site as often as you like during the build. If it's not convenient for you to visit in person, we'll will email you photos and progress reports.

Finish

You will have been invited to choose the fixtures and fittings you'd like during the build process. We can recommend bathroom fittings, tiles, worktops, and kitchen appliances to suit a variety of budgets, or even accompany you on shopping trips. We use the best local craftsmen to provide bespoke carpentry and metalwork.

Sign Off

Once the build and fitting out is complete, you inspect the property. We don't accept your final payment until you are completely happy with our work.

Casa Colmena, Saleres

We built this modern house in 2006. The brief was to build a practical modern home that respected it's Andalucian setting and heritage.

Casa Carmella, Conchar

We are currently renovating Casa Carmella, a house dating back to the era of the Spanish Civil War, located in the village of Conchar in the Lecrin Valley. We are transforming the house into a luxury four bedroom property with guest accommodation in out-buildings which are also renovating. The design provides plenty of terraces around a large swimming pool. We are keeping the flavour of the traditional Andalucian architecture, with Moorish features such as arcades and a fountain, while using the latest construction methods.

Restabal Renovation

The brief for this renovation project in Restabal in the Lecrin Valley was to create a modern living space while preserving the building's original character. We maximised the amount of light coming into the building by adding more windows to the facade, being careful to remain sympathetic to the house itself and the neighbouring properties. The photos show the house prior to renovation as well as the finished result.
